4. New starter. With Keegan Murray out of action, Doug Christie turned to Precious Achiuwa and he answered the call with physicality and energy. Achiuwa started off slow, but once Sabonis got in foul trouble, he picked it up, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Gotta hit

- James Ham: Christie experimented in the opener. He used Emanuel Sharp and Daeqwon Plowden early. He also played Nique Clifford at point guard, where the host says he didn't play well, though he was fine at shooting guard. Jonathan Mogbo also got time, and Achiuwa had a few moments. at 27:50

6. Short straw. Keegan Murray isn't the only rotational player to start the game. Precious Achiuwa started and played 13 minutes for the Kings. He's a gamer that wants to play. I can respect that. Achiuwa scored 12 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.

- James Ham: Host analysis: the leading fifth-starter candidates are Precious Achiuwa and De'Andre Hunter. Each comes with a drawback. at 18:02
- James Ham: Precious Achiuwa started four of the five preseason games: three at power forward and one at center. Starting him would let Keegan Murray stay at the three. at 15:07
- James Ham: Drawback to starting Achiuwa: Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell are both out, and Achiuwa was being counted on as the backup center. at 14:50

- Mark Jones praises Achiuwa's energy, rebounding and defense as great and at times indispensable, calling him a thermostat. Of Hunter he says he hasn't been at his best yet. at 23:42
